This Privacy Policy explains how Sakupon collects, uses, stores, and protects information when users access the Sakupon mobile application and related services.

Sakupon is operated by Theta Edge Berhad. Sakupon allows eligible users to view coupon balance, select participating merchants, redeem coupon value, and view payment receipts.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your access and use of Sakupon, we may collect and process the following information:

• Staff ID or promo code used for sign in and account identification.
• Password credential, stored only as a secure one-way hash and not as readable text.
• User profile details stored in the coupon system, such as name, mobile number, identification number, promo code, and coupon balance.
• Coupon redemption details, including selected merchant, merchant ID, transaction amount, transaction date and time, receipt details, and redemption status.
• Technical information required to operate the service, such as server request logs, IP address, device or app diagnostic information, and security logs.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorized access.
• Show coupon balance and eligible coupon details.
• Process coupon redemption transactions with selected merchants.
• Generate transaction receipts and maintain transaction records.
• Provide support, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse, and improve service reliability.
• Comply with legal, audit, accounting, security, and operational requirements.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only when necessary with:

• Participating merchants, where required to complete or verify a coupon redemption.
• Service providers who help us host, operate, secure, or maintain Sakupon systems.
• Authorities, regulators, auditors, or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect our rights, users, or services.

5. Tracking and Advertising

Sakupon is intended for coupon account access and redemption. We do not use the app to track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes, and we do not use personal information for third-party advertising.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, coupon, transaction, and security records for as long as necessary to provide the service, support audits, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain accurate financial or operational records. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely retain it according to applicable requirements.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. User Choices and Requests

Users may contact us to request help with account access, correction of inaccurate information, or questions about coupon records. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, audit, financial, security, or operational reasons.

9. Children's Privacy

Sakupon is not intended for children and is designed for eligible users authorized by the participating organization. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
